Get to know the team
Adobe Genuine program's mission is to propagate usage of genuine Adobe products, preventing usage of non-genuine Adobe applications and convert customers using non-genuine products to use genuine Adobe products.
The objectives of this program are multi-pronged, namely, prevention, detection, and conversion. Prevention deals with detecting and obstructing usage of non-genuine Adobe products. Detection deals with identifying folks who are using Adobe software in a non-gen fashion. Conversion deals with informing and incentivizing folks who use such software to convert and use genuine Adobe software.
To address the prevention objective, the Product Hardening project was conceptualized in late 2018. The product strategy and engineering techniques for hardening encompass anti-reverse engineering, monitoring, tracking, protection techniques, fingerprinting, machine learning, and tamper-proofing for web and client. On the other end of the spectrum, despite the application of hardening measures mentioned above, it's possible for our products to be counterfeited/pirated, causing our customers to end up using non-genuine software. Such users need to be detected and incentivized to convert and use genuine Adobe software. To address these business needs of Detection and Conversion, the GoCart program was started in 2015.
The two critical elements of the Go Cart program are -
  • Detection of counterfeit/pirated use of software
  • Conversion of users that have previously been victimized via an online / web-deliveredexperience (messages, flow, presentation, offers, etc.)

The program has been running successfully over the last four years and has created major business impact with revenue scaling from 800K USD in FY16 to 62M USD in FY20.
