Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Coordination with Marketing for sales supports,
2. Design Release schedule for new projects (DAP, GA drawings, assembly drawings, part details etc.).
3. Coordination with Customers for specific design criteria required for a project.
4. Monitoring & guiding the resources
5. Detailed planning of Manpower for individual projects.
- Review of overall specification and calculations for the projects and performs complex calculations, stress analysis, thermal analysis and other technical analyses required in the development of projects / equipment.
6. Monitoring progress of Drawing releases & In-house design projects
7. Interdepartmental Coordination with other concern departments as per requirement of projects.
8. Ensure adherence to the standards (IS, ISO etc)
9. Mentoring, training & progress evaluation of resources.
10. Ability to conduct design reviews to improve product performance and resolve technical issues;
11. Ensure safety and cost saving measures.
12. Conceives, develops & design innovative material handling solutions including component selection.
13. Performs complex calculation, stress analysis, thermal analysis & other technical analysis required in developing materials handling solutions.
14. Review all design work & drgs for errors and accuracy
15. Manage all incoming & outgoing 2D & 3D drg/models from clients
16. Extraction & preparation of of bill of material from existing drgs.
17. Ability to conduct design reviews to improve product performance and resolve technical issue
18. Correct manufacturing & update drgs to reflect the as built design
19. Propose and approve material substitutions for Indian standards
