ROLE : Asst. Manager/Manager, Quality, Small Home Appliances
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Work for company's Private Brands to develop new models/ suppliers, program manage and maintain required quality of existing suppliers by making sure the applicable quality standards are maintained and drive field analysis/ improvement for org's top line & bottom line.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting operational and business goals through Returns, Ratings, Warranty failures improvement
Technical support in developing Product Roadmap/ strategy & aligning stakeholders
Data analysis, finding consumer insights & incorporating actionables into new launches
Participate in Supplier landscaping, assess shortlisted Suppliers as per defined guardrails, identify areas for improvement & closely work on those with suppliers.
Develop full fledge test protocol for various categories, closely work with third party/supplier/internal stakeholders for protocol finalisation/ alignment
Testing & Inspection charges negotiation with 3rd parties, approvals & service triggering with respective teams
Manage New models development & Product/Packaging/SW validation testing end to end
Always updated to latest regulatory requirements & complying 100% to to BEE, BIS, WPC, IS marking related norms
Ensure Post launch metrices are within control, by very closely working with Aftersales, Tech Support, Training & Cx teams. Keep track of VOCs for continual improvement.
High focus on Change management - its validation & timely communication across the board
Adoption of technology solutions and industry best practices to achieve operational and business goals
Keep document repositatory updated for new developments & existing products
Skill requirements:
Min. Bachelors degree, preferably in Mechanical/ Electrical domain
5 to 6 years experience in Quality & New product development in Appliances domain. Expertise in handling Small Home Appliances product will be given preference.
Fundamental understanding of Electro-mechanical subsystem & interactions
Strongly connected with Data oriented approach, indepth data analysis, leverage Quality & Statistical tools such as Pareto chart, Scatter plot, Control charts etc.
Good understanding of Failure Modes Analysis & defining control plan at Design/Process levels to arrest the failure modes
Awareness on Regulatory Compliance norms applicable to large & small appliances/ electronics
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong program management skills and must have handled supplier/ product development projects
Demonstrated experience in collaborative working environments
Experience in understanding of the process approach End-to-End
Change Management ability to validate the changes & influence stakeholders in the value and benefit of the new processes
Implementing Lean methodologies and best practices internally as well at supplier end.
