Job Description
EDM Implementation Consulting Analyst-1IHS Markit EDM provides Enterprise Data Management Solutions for Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Insurance companies, Software companies and Treasury functions in large institutions. With offices in Dallas, Boston, New York, London, Manchester, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and Sydney, Markit EDM has a global reach and increasingly clients require some work to be done remotely.
Position summary
The Implementation Consultant Analyst role is part of a team based in India (Gurgoan, Bangalore) working with clients globally on implementation activities, generally in a virtual and remote team capacity; however, at times team members are required to travel to client sites to assist with onsite implementation activities.
The team is coached and led by a senior Managing Consultants and Lead Consultants, and are trained in using SQL Server, the Markit EDM application, and in the informational needs of modern financial institutions market data risk management, regulatory reporting, asset management, investment management reporting.
The role is dynamic and provides a fantastic opportunity to build a solid career solving the data management need of leading financial services institutions in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America.
Role & Responsibilities
- Configuring Markit EDM application using SQL Server to meet the client specifications.
- Building Markit EDM Solutions with best practices.
- Testing the project deliverables ensuring they are in line with documented requirements.
- Interacting with clients and colleagues to ensure accurate and timely information flows.
- Investigates and documents existing procedures.
- Contributing to Implementation Best Practice guidelines.
Business competencies
Education and experience
- BS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology/Information Science/Finance with 1-3 years business analysis or development experience
- Strong proficiency with SQL statements, designing tables, stored procedures, views and functions. Preference in SQL Server.
- Good Data Model knowledge and experience of working within financial markets or asset management database implementations.
- Knowledge of financial markets products, a broad understanding of the treasury/financial markets or asset management process, middle-office systems and operations, and associated data management needs is a plus

An interest in the treasury/capital market technology and associated business operations & process
