JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position: Hadoop Developer
Experience Level: 5+ Years
Job Location: Kochi/Cochin
Employment mode: Retainer/Contract/ Contract to Hire
Job Duration: 6 Months
Notice Period: Immediate-15 days
Skills:
Very strong fundamentals & working experience on RDBMS like Oracle / MySQL / Teradata /Netezza
Must have strong knowledge on scripting in Shell, Awk, Python or related technologies
Exceptionally good skills in Database Architecture, SQL & Procedural SQL
Strong Data Modeling skills
Experience working in Data Warehouse environments with large datasets
Strong programming skills in DW ETL & BI environments
Experience in Code Performance Optimization
Good in solution design & trouble shooting
Strong aspirations towards big data and related technologies of the future
Must have worked in environments that adhere to standard practices in SDLC with a flair for software engineering, quality processes
Experience in technical leadership capabilities which includes
o Executing Proof of Concepts
o Evaluating new platforms and frameworks
o Technology Adoption
o Technology Migration
Quite adaptable to work in a positive, challenging & dynamic environment with expectations on meeting delivery timelines & Production SLAs
A professional demonstrating bottom-line responsibility, being inquisitive & showing a positive,
respectful attitude
Ability to own product modules from a technical as well as people/task perspective
Exposure to Technology/Platform Integration
Experience in any of Hortonworks, Cloudera or the likes
Experience with Cassandra, Spark
Working knowledge on AWS
