Job Description
VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company.VAM Systems is currently looking for Banking Application Support for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:
Description
Strategic Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining data backups & recover plans to recover bank's systems in the event of any failure.
Providing support to business users on all the applications used in the production environment and to maintain 24x7 availability of applications like channels & other applications and systems.
Ensure that mission critical systems / hardware have desired capacity to handle business growth of the Bank.
Application & Systems Support and Management
He is directly responsible for support and administration of the applications related to central bank systems like Fund Transfer system, UAEDDS, UAEWPS, ECC. Also other head office internals application like Document Management System, Record Management System, Asset Management System, Queue Management System, MKInsight-Audit system, Xelerate - VAT applications used in Production Environment.
Ensures to provide continuous, efficient and accurate support for Banks operation and for the production systems.
To identify Opportunities, recommend and implement processes for improving business operational efficiency and quality through automation.
To efficiently manage changes by ensuring that problem management and change management procedure are adhered to and problems tracked to resolution.
Monitoring, Trouble shooting of systems error to minimize downtime.
Understand the systems related requirements of the other units and set objectives for the Department team members.
Liaise with Business users to ensure that service delivery meets the agreed service levels.
Managing, Testing and installing the patches & version upgrades to the applications and systems.
Manage and ensure appropriate backups of banks systems and data are maintained for timely recovery of the systems and avoid loss of data on the account of systems malfunction.
Schedules and performs housekeeping jobs, performance tuning, system security studies, utilizing, sizing and capacity planning on systems.
Policies and Procedures
Develop, test and implement Backups and recovery procedure for all the application supported and managed by the system management department. Keeps DR plan document updated by ensuring at least one version every year. Develop and implement operational manuals, policies, and procedures for optimization and best practices and ensure that all the relevant procedural/ legislative requirement and fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service to internal customers. Review Current system procedures on regular basis, suggest in order to simplify the procedures to increase productivity / Efficiency.
Help Desk
Provide general supervision and guidance to helpdesk and attends to emergencies / exceptional circumstances as required.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with the bank policies and procedure to achieve good audit grading.
Ensure timely compliance with recommendations of IT auditors and IT security team.
Ensure that the Bank is always using licensed software in its portfolio managed by the department.
Terms and conditions
Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days)
The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems - UAE and shall be deputed to one of the Organizations in UAE.
