POSITION OVERVIEW: QA Tester
Job Description: Education BSc or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics Work experience, Leadership experience 7+ years of recent experience as a software developer.
Skills/Qualifications: -
Test case creation, test execution, test and defect documentation for Enabling and Platform projects - Creation of test automation scripts for test cases including - Optimization of automated test reporting within/based on the Agile Tool Chain - Continuous improvement of existing test framework, e.g. towards the extension of test automation coverage for DB2 and mainframe - Create test strategy for projects and convert them to detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. - Responsible for driving work planning and execution for QA team offshore and onsite - Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. - Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities. - Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools. - Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs. - Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. - Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet business needs. - Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and project sponsors) to identify system requirements. - Monitor debugging process results. - Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions. - Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
