Job Opening Details back to list Reference Code: AR1043 Job Title: Signal Integrity and Simulation Category: Job Description: Brief JD- Signal Integrity and Ansys (HFSS) Simulation tool exp.Note- We do not require Power Integrity exp, if candidate has Signal Integrity and Simulation exp using (Hfss would be ideal), we can also consider other simualtion tool exp.
Detailed JD-
You will be required to work closely with cross-functional teams on product development to address signal and power integrity requirements at package to board level. The work includes but not limited to:
Improve design processes by PI (AC/DC) simulation, GPIO (LVDS/DDR/EMIR) simulation, and HSSIO simulation and Lab Measurement (TDR, VNA, Picoprobes) methodology.
Simulate the power delivery network with the considerations of package bump, trace, via and ball. It can be board via, trace, connectors, and devices. On top of parasitic modeling, full channel simulation to run DOE would be included as well.
Validate the design and correlate it with the performance target or the user experience index to enhance prediction capability, understand the design constraints/trade-offs, and explore innovation.
Submit task at which clear expectation will be outline at which including what are the results, collateral as well as timeline. Example of the lead document will be provided for cross check purposes.
Do quality check of the collateral before deliver to client. The results should check against the specification.
Acceptance of deliverables at which the results should deliver according to client s template. Client will check whether the collateral is meeting expectation and accept the deliverables.
Deliverables
PI (AC/DC) Analysis EE Verification QA check:
o Setup DC/AC analysis simulation using BKM provided, generate/collect result for both AC/DC sim data, review root caused for any failing power spec or not meeting QA check. generate report.
o Perform DC analysis simulations on EMIR, ESL and DCR.
o Perform boundary range and numerical error check.
o Investigate the power design routing or simulation environment for any sim data that falls out of range or fail or still passed the result.
o Perform AC analysis simulations on Vpp (Voltage Drop) using HSPICE.
o Compare result data with AC sim result by PIWG to do boundary check.
o Timely documenting SIPI related collateral per process with no quality issue.

Save all simulation setup file into a folder
GPIO, DDR and SI Simulation:
o Passive simulation for package and QA check
o Passive Modelling/Full Channel Simulation for DOE
o Timely documenting SIPI related collateral per process with no quality issue.

HSSIO Simulation Model Extraction:
Run HFSS 3D simulation for package and PCB board model extraction.
Provide design suggestion through DoE studies to meet design requirements for board and package design.
Measurement-to-simulation results correlation.
Simulation results consolidation and presentation.
Proper documentation.
3D model files, touchstone files, and clear documentation on touchstone file usage.
Consolidated results presentation in frequency domain and time domain plots.
HSSIO Lab Measurement:
Perform measurement and data collection on DUT with VNA + picoprobes.
Perform measurement and data collection on DUT with TDR + picoprobes.
Perform measurement and data collection on DUT with Oscilloscope + picoprobes.
Use PLTS software to perform AFR (Automatic Fixture Removal).
Proper Documentation
RAW fixture+DUT measurement data in .S4P.
RAW fixture data in .S4P.
Final DUT data after performing AFR in .S4P.
TDR Measurement data in x-y data.txt format and data plotting with Virtual Scope software.
