Job Title : Country Side (Tomato Paste) Operation Head
Reports : Chief of Operation Officer
Location : Khartoum Bahari
Salary : 4000-8000 USD per month plus expat benefits .
Job purpose:
The company is seeking to hire an operations Head to join their leadership team. You will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for the operation of one of our organization's lines of business, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations
Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues
Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
Work with the board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals
Establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health, and safety agencies
Manage relationships with key operations vendors
Track vendor pricing, rebates, and service levels
Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment
Work closely with COO and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
Work closely with the Warehouse manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reduce sub-rental expenses
Qualifications/Experience
10 years minimum experience in a similar industrial operation.
Engineering or Food Processing certification.
Canning / filling experience.
Good knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FSMS, ISO.
Expertise in all aspects of operational management, including planning, project management and problem-solving
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Excellent IT skills; strong computer competency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Experience in Distributions food.
Ability to identify and communicate potential problems and propose solutions to the level of management and then effect change.
Must be able to function effectively in a complex work environment, set appropriate priorities, and deal effectively with numerous simultaneous requirements.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
