Job Description
Key Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer you will:
- Be passionate about driving efficiency into SDLC process and infrastructure management
- Be keen to learn and open to adapt to new projects, technologies and processes
- Keep quality of work to a high standard
- Drive automation and improvement of existing systems and processes and support them
- Show good use of technical knowledge to facilitate projects and support development teams
- Easily context-switch between day-to-day project work
- Keep a cool head under pressure
- Be able to concisely and quickly explain complex situations/problems to technical and non-technical staff
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills
- You must have extensive experience of building, operating and maintaining Linux/Windows infrastructure, with a high-degree of automation and emphasis on the following supporting skills:
- Linux Experience (3+ years Required)
- Unix shell scripting (Bash) (2+ years Required)
- Continuous Integration tools, e.g. Jenkins (1-2 years Required)
- Puppet/Ansible or other configuration management (1++ years Required)
- Public/Private Cloud based Infrastructure (AWS is enough for public cloud)
- Apache WWW and/or NGINX server and Tomcat
- Common Internet Protocols (SMTP, HTTP / HTTPS, SSH, SMTP)
- Source Control systems (Git)
- Unix shell scripting (Bash)
- Containerisation, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes
Desirable Skills
- Orchestration engines e.g. Kubernetes
- MySQL system administration (Good to have)
- Jenkins Job Builder / Code As Pipeline
- Build tools like Maven & Gradle
- Scripting languages like Python or Perl.
- Technologies were using right now
- Stash, Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
- Docker, Kubernetes
- AWS Cloud platform
- Apache WWW or NGINX server and Tomcat
- HTML5, CSS3, Javascript (ES6+)
- React, Vue.js, Gulp, Node, .Net, Java/Spring/Hibernate
- JSON based APIs, OAuth2/OpenID Connect
