Job Description
Urgently looking for PDMS Piping Designers.
Experience : 5-10 Years
Location: Mumbai
Contract Period: 3 Months renewable contract
Candidates should be readily available to join. Should be preferably from Gujarat and Maharashtra (For the ease of relocation).
Primary objective
- Responsible for performing plant layout and piping design activities using PDMS and 2D drafting systems.
Specific Requirement
- 3D modelling of piping systems using PDMS software.(preferred if familiar/worked using SP3D also)
- Capable of modelling complex equipment, Conceptual Structures e.g. Pipe-rack, Tech-structure, Civil Foundations, Roads in PDMS.
- Capable of piping routing directly in PDMS 3D Model as per P&ID and Layout requirement.
- Apply Job Standard Specifications, (OISD) engineering practices as applicable to piping design and plant layout.
- Populate catalogue and Piping Material specifications on PDMS.
- EPC Experience preferred especially Petrochemical, Oil & Gas refinery.
- Coordination with other disciplines in relation to 3D modelling.
- Perform clash check and resolution in PDMS model.
- Piping Isometrics, GAD Generation from PDMS 3D model.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Trade course in mechanical draughting or equivalent. Diploma in engineering would be an advantage but not a must.
- Familiar with the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas Refinery layout design
- Minimum 5-10 years proven experience in all aspects of piping/layout design within a EPC design consultancy involving design of substantial facilities for oil and gas companies.
- A minimum of 2 years hands on experience as a user of the PDMS and 2D drafting system applicable to piping layout and design.
- Must be capable of producing piping GA drawings and Unit Plot Plan in AutoCAD.
- Exposure to fabrication, construction and installation activities desirable although detailed involvement is not essential.
- Capable of generating piping general arrangement drawings based on equipment layout and P&IDs.
