Job Description
Responsibilities
- Architect and provide technical direction for Kubernetes stack
- Develop setting and enforcement of architecture standards and practices
- Review and evaluate new and existing architecture and code to ensure it meets standards
- Research new technologies, including deploying POCs
- Create and maintain documentation
- Identify and resolve product bugs and performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in an agile delivery team Mentor junior colleagues
- Troubleshooting and resolution of problems
- Respond to availability incidents and provide support for service engineers with
- Document every action so your findings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation.
Skills
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related.
- 8+ years of experience managing Linux servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or hosted at a cloud provider like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Engine (GKE), or Microsoft Azure (AKS) and On-Premise Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with large scale Infrastructure, distributed systems, and application performance.
- 4+ years of experience with enterprise storage systems or distributed systems; knowledge of Ceph Storage is a plus
- Experience in a high volume or critical 24x7x365 production service environment.
- 6+ years of experience in an Operations/SRE
- 6+ years of experience within a fast-paced site reliability function
- 6+ years of experience working in a continuous delivery environment with proven track
- 6+ years of experience with GitLab, Jenkins, CI/CD, infrastructure-as- code
- 6+ years of experience with software design principles
- 5+ years of experience working in a continuous delivery environment with proven track
- Experience on Python, Shell Scripting, Go Lang will be a plus.
- Logging experience using Graylog, ELK stack
- Implement highly available systems and disaster recovery
- Automation using Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Helm, Cobbler Core Networking, Consul DNS Load balancing, Metallb, Weave, Cilium Ingress Controller, Istio, Nginx, HA Proxy
- Forman Katello, Redhat Satellite
- FreeIPA, Bind, DNS Security
- 3+ Years of experience on Kubernetes Security Infrastructure components
- Experience in integrating different systems with their available APIs
- Extensive experience using monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix
- Implement highly available systems and disaster recovery
- Working with or supporting production, test, and development environments for medium to large user environments
- Installing and configuring application servers and database servers
- Experience in developing scripts to automate software deployments and installations
- Experience in a 247 high-availability production environment
- Ability to come with best solution by capturing big picture instead of focusing on minor details. Root cause analysis
- Willingness to learn and explore new technologies
- Microservice architecture and deployment understanding
- Experience delivering a hosted service is a big plus
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment within a team
- Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot system issues
- Diligence and attention to detail, ability to work on own initiative and a can-do attitude.
- Be able to work independently
