KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
- Create and analyze classical and composite electric motor component solutions, including the whole integrated electrical propulsion systems with highest power density
- Carry out analyses using formula-based calculations and/or automated workflows for dimensioning of parts and components
- Drive the validation and verification of the component and manufacturing process design
- Development and improvement of the manufacturing processes and transfer of knowledge into product development under consideration of RR standards and quality systems
- Plan and execute component tests and support the manufacturing and test team
- Plan and co-ordinate R&D activities with key universities and suppliers
- Create technical documents to comply with process and knowledge management
- Quality Assurance through checking of design documents, models, drawings in accordance with technical requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar professional experience
- You are highly experienced in the design and proof of aerospace structures and rotating electric machines
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and composite design methodologies (e.g., fibers, matrix systems, laminate theory, aging) as well as related manufacturing processes
- Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters
- Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks
- Excellent modelling and composite design skills (ideally NX and Fibersim)
- Appreciation of aerospace standards such as DO-160 and ARP4754A as well as acceptable means of compliance and special compliance methods
- Desire to work in an interdisciplinary and agile team to drive innovative design solutions
- Knowledge of Polarion and Teamcenter appreciated, but not necessarily needed
- Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organisation
