Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Accurately code Emergency Department services through review of medical record documentation
Assign CPT procedure codes, ICD-10 diagnosis code and modifiers based on documentation, government teaching physician documentation requirements and LCD/NCD/ NCCI policies.
Should have Emergency Department professional coding working experience and be aware of common ED procedures like laceration repair, fracture care, splinting, I&D, CPR, foreign body removal, Critical care inclusive and exclusive procedures & etc. Understand the client requirements and specifications of the project
Should have coding experience in consultation.
Ensure that deliverable to the client is adhered to the quality standards and productivity TAT.
