Roles & Responsibilities:
The Software Development Engineers in Test is responsible to develop, execute and maintain software to test the product. Expert in skills like programming experience, development experience, object-oriented programming and understand all areas of the developed phase. Modify existing code and understand the technical architecture, software design, and the software development process.
Develop automated test and testing frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web as well as have the domain knowledge to be able to create acceptance tests. Create & manage bug reports and communicate with the team. The test software/framework built should expose defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and feature integration perspective.
Define automation strategy, Build automation cases along with design tools for unit, functional, and performance testing in a programmatic manner. Ability to propose improvements to existing processes and automated tools to improve the teams speed, quality and efficiency. Adopt best frameworks, tools and automate testing like unit testing, API testing, security testing, database testing, DevOps and performance testing, and stress test activities.
Improve the quality of product with maximum coverage of testing in all areas of unit, regression, etc. Identify ways that end-users and consumers will work with the software and helps create the best experience possible for the intended user by identifying areas needing continued adjustment.
Required skills:
Strong Object oriented design and coding skills
Coding experience with automated frameworks, tools and services
Programming languages like C#, SQL, JavaScript, Java, Python, etc.
Unit testing tools/ frameworks JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, PyTest HTML.
Automation Software Testing Tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Rest, Soap UI
SQL (SQL server / Mongo DB / No SQL)
Performance testing tools Load runner, JMeter
Azure Devops for Test case Management Create Test plans, automate test cases, schedule test runs in Devops pipelines
Test reporting tools to publish test reports, test run details, dashboards.
Drive automation efficiencies and coverage effectiveness using different automation framework tools and techniques
Real-time automation dashboard tools for Test metrics
Experience : 10 + Years
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Job Specific:
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly, and concisely present complicated computer concepts to end-users with differing skill levels
Design & develop test frameworks for UI, Mobile devices, APIs, Microservices. for testings like Unite testing, Regression, API, Security, Performance, etc.
Automate test cases using coding languages
Collaborate with developers in reviewing unit test and integration results for coverage analysis
Integrate test automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Build an effective automation suite to cover technical and business integration automation coverage
Mentor quality engineers on automation best practices and support automation backlog efforts
Create Test plans, test suites with Traceability matrix
Ensure the test coverage and execution of Unit, Integration, Acceptance, System, Regression, UAT, Security and Performance are met
Evaluate software application solutions for errors and stability
Debug automation suites and identify system flaws
Perform both manual and automated testing strategies
Develop testing strategies and analysis for software programs
Zeal to learn new technologies
Strong technical problem-solving skills, a proactive mind-set with a focus on constant improvement and follow through at all levels
Basic understanding of Azure services IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Ability to take ownership of issues, work independently or escalate as needed, and find creative ways to resolve problems
