Input :
Actual sales orders and deliveries
Sales information (trends, budgets, changes, opportunities and threats)
Product launch/phase out plan
Capacity levelling input
Customer forecasts
Job Responsibility
Create demand plan and validate total demand against previous month and Financial budget.
Review past forecasting performance and identify major forecast variances
Lead/initiate root-cause-analysis initiatives and formulate actions and plans to ensure that they do not re-occur.
Analyze sales trends and identify the key drivers of sales of key products and customers
Set-up relevant interfaces to sales and business finance and conduct meetings adhering to demand planning process.
Continuously improve the forecasting processes and systems, ensuring a good forecast accuracy and working in an efficient way
Work together with Global Demand Planning Development to optimize the demand planning processes and systems.
Ensure that there is a valid, accurate forecast at customer and Material level
Reporting forecast performance
Work together with supply planners on significant demand/supply imbalances
Work together with the supply planners and supply coordinators to implement the phase-in and phase-out plans and plan efficiently for opportunities and threats
Assess dilemmas and take judgment towards anchoring the most realistic outlook for the next 24 months.
Good overview and understanding of the products.
Provide input to the Supply Planning on how changes to the demand plan can impact inventory strategies on existing items, for opportunities, new products, and product phase-outs.
Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
Execute ad-hoc demand plan releases to supply planners to allow for faster response to recent events.
Output:
Forecast volume and value for an 18-month horizon.
Used as input to Master Production Schedule as well as Sales forecast volumes and values.
Qualification :
3-8 years of Experience in handling demand planning
Strong analytical and communication skills
Strong working knowledge of SAP IBP /APO demand planning tool
Good understanding of industries, supply chain, products & process
Ability to work across many levels in organization & work in a global team
Good working knowledge of MS-Excel and data mining from SAP ECC, SAP IBP, Tableau, and BW/AAO platforms
Drives continuous process improvement, strives to improve efficiency, and willing to challenge processes where favorable alternatives may be available
Skills: Deep understanding of supply chain planning concepts including Demand Management, S&OP ,Supply Planning.
Characteristics: Patient listener with the ability to clearly articulate view point to manage and deliver to customer expectations. Ability to analyze and process large amounts of data and complement it with intuition to prioritize and focus on the highest value opportunities or the biggest risks is key.
