Keep our release process agile and efficient
Develop continuous and rapid/repeatable deployment mechanisms
Work with onshore/offshore team for project success
Complete tasks to automate the building of core services consumed by Engineering and Product teams (e.g. EMR clusters, VM hosts, RDS instances, security controls, governance automation & core networking) using cloud best practices.
Complete tasks to automate the monitoring of the health and performance of core services and overall platform health
Support our infrastructure through automation of daily support tasks where applicable
Work with internal partners to automate configuration management, release, and deployment tasks.
Continuously improve deployment of infrastructure (IaC) through code and automation.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering
2+ years of experience
Ansible, Terraform and Python
Excellent AWS skills - Certified or working towards certification preferred
Understanding of and willingness to learn cloud (AWS) best practice
Usage and understanding of CI/CD pipeline practices with Jenkins, Ant, Maven
Unix and Scripting
Working in a Java Build environment
Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
Experience with Hadoop Ecology & Toolsets (HIVE, MapReduce, YARN)
Virtualization with VMWare, OpenStack
Experience Database RDBMS experience (SQL) like Postgres, GreenPlum, Oracle and others
Experience with Open Source toolsets, Salt, Puppet, Containers (Docker)
