Job Description
We have an opening for a General Manager - Finance & Accounts in Birla Open Minds located at Churchgate, Mumbai
Company: Birla Edutech Ltd, Mumbai
Position: General Manager Finance & Accounts
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Preparation and presentation of annual financials for Birla Edutech and its subsidiary companies and COCO schools (company owned, and company operate schools) to the top management.
- Preparation of monthly MIS reports.
- Verifying compliance with financial statutory norms, internal processes, procedures and controls
- Supervising the process of vendor payments (which includes invoice receipt, verification, feeding, filing, following-up and tallying) at the central level for managing vendors;
- Preparation of budgets and annual business plan and financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting Management Reporting-
- Regular review of MIS and other reports and closely monitor all KPIs related to finance and discuss with marketing team and senior management and formulate an action plan for all necessary issues.
- Closely work with lawyers and auditors for all the compliances
- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team.
- Providing strategic recommendations to the executive management team
- Advising on long-term business and financial planning, An Example (Return on Investment for the prospect franchise).
- Yearly Finalization of Financial Statements.
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
- Any other task given by the Director of the company.
- Preparation of Annual budget, and ensuring financial achievement of the same by achieving the top line and bottom line targets
- Ensuring good financial health of the company
- Working with the Director to raise funds from Investors whenever required, and completing all due diligence and data collection and presentation of the same involved in raising Investment funds whenever the need arises
Job Specifications:
- CA with at least 8 years of overall work experience.
- Minimum two years of finance and audit experience with Recognized institutes
- Hands on experience with contract documentation pertaining to services, lease, employment, etc.
- Rich experience with tech-enabled MIS & financial control systems with superior skills in financial modelling in Excel
Desirable: (a) In-depth knowledge of financial processes;
(b) Understanding of enterprise risk management concepts and best practices;
(c) Ability to develop and institute financial processes and controls; (d) People management skills;
(e) Experience of transactional support and Internal Audit Risk assessment; (f) Governance practices;
(g) Cost Governance Budgeting and MIS reporting.
