Job Title: - Deputy Manager Logistics
Qualification and Preference: -
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics.
Steel/Metal Industry experience and exposure of working in Africa will be preferred.
Location: - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Africa
Experience: - 2-5 years
Keyskills -
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
Move materials, goods and products (including import) to ensure that they are in the right place to meet customer demand.
Problem-solving, forecasting issues, Teamwork, Management skills
Supply chain management, Inventory control
Organizational skill, Customer Service
Job Description -
Logistics managers are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes.
Logistics managers typically supervise a team of warehouse staff or other logistics specialists.
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and
efficiency
Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current
methodology and processes
Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
