As a manager, you will own the capability delivery and manage a team responsible for building tools to support data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies and standards as well as the application of clearly defined data management definitions across the Data Office. Essential responsibilities include but not limited to.. Ensure that all data assets which are subject to the governance processes within the Data office are addressed. Support the development and maintenance of an end to end data lifecycle management platform and toolset. Responsible for applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies and standards as well as the application of clearly defined data management definitions for use across the Data Office. Apply a data governance framework, with a focus on continued improvement of data quality and strict adherence to the agreed Trust and Classification processes. Follow the guidelines related to data governance and data quality and ensure clear accountability. In addition, he/she will have a key role working with various stakeholders , product owners across the organization to achieve the goals defined in the data governance and data management strategies. People management responsibilities include setting priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. You will be responsible for supervision/management of day-to-day functional management of the organization which include performance management, training/developing, forecasting/reporting, and budgeting/expense control. He/She will manage a team of software professionals including but not limited to Developers, Systems Analysts, Scrum Masters, Product Owners who are responsible for delivering results for data governance tools and framework. May also be required to provide architectural and technical guidance, and ensure that sound Software engineering and delivery practices are followed.
Qualifications
1) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 2) A minimum of 15 years relevant work experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, with significant influence on overall direction of data governance management. 3) Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms. 4) Should be familiar with cloud and data management trends, including open source projects, methodologies (connect and collect, hub and spoke, data fabrics, etc.) and leading commercial vendors that relate to data acquisition and data management. 5) Experience in building enterprise data catalogues and enterprise data quality tools and technologies. 6) Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization 7) Proven track record in operating large data governance programs. Knowledge of cloud based big data frameworks, data governance platforms such as Collibra. 8) Excellent Leadership, communication, stakeholder management skills, proven track record in working with geographically distributed teams across various time zones and organizational boundaries to drive solutions. 9) People management skills with a proven record in transformational leadership.Inside this Business Group
