Job Description


Can you make the complex simple Bring your experience as an Operational Risk Manager and join our Reporting, Risk, Analytics and Platform team to advise on how our key our key platforms align Macquarie's policies and frameworks. Sitting within our Group Treasury team, you will support our Analytics and Platforms Teams as a risk advisor and business partner while being part of an inclusive and empowering culture.
As a Regulatory Reporting (Systems and Platforms) Manager you will help make information technology terminology understandable for our key reporting stakeholders and demystify IT and system risk within our key platforms. You will be responsible for supporting the Analytics and Platforms Teams in the timely delivery of incident, issue and action write ups monitoring and partnering with these teams towards timely closure of all platform-related incidents, issues and actions. In consultation with the regulatory reporting teams, you will conduct deep dive reviews into select reporting / monitoring processes (and specifically those parts of our reporting solutions that are 'on system'), including self-assessment with applicable financial control standards. You will undertake impact assessments and drive the implementation of new frameworks, policies, guidance and control standards. When required, you will also manage the external consultant reviews of our key platforms and assist with the APS 310 Audit process including, where applicable, field work, walk throughs, periodic updates, and reporting to management, as it specifically relates to our key platforms. You will also perform business resilience impact assessment, planning and testing support as required while driving and ensuring ongoing compliance with the Enterprise Data Management policy requirements in partnership with the SMEs. You will also provide ad hoc risk advisory support as required, including liaising with the broader internal risk management community and ad hoc input into the preparation of Board and internal management reporting papers.
To be successful in this role, it is preferable that you possess regulatory knowledge and experience, with a strong understanding of control points of the reporting process. Your qualifications and experience will include a tertiary degree in Business/Commerce along with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in the financial services/investment banking industry. Previous exposure to internal/external audits, risk management and projects within large financial institutions would be highly preferred. Familiarity with CPG 235, data risk and controls (including how they may be deployed within Axiom, QRM and ICE) is desirable. You will also be expected to be familiar with the following vendor products (or similar vendor products):
. AXIOM SL ('Axiom')
. Quantitative Risk Management ('QRM') and
. Moody's Analytics Solutions ('ICE').
You will have experience in developing and implementing control frameworks along with experience in change management across functional teams throughout both project and change delivery. Having strong attention to detail, being proactive and having the ability to see multiple tasks through to completion is vital for this role. You will be highly motivated and organised with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with team members and key internal clients.
