Job Description
Join our team and take responsibility for the preparation and preliminary review of Macquarie's regulatory obligations to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
As an Assistant Manager in this dynamic team you'll support projects to meet new regulatory requirements and help interpret and bring understanding around them while also driving change initiatives across the team, including process improvements and data analytics. You'll keep up to date with regulatory consultations and assist with communicating regulatory requirements while ensuring operational risks are managed from a controls assurance perspective and that knowledge is shared through cross training and team learning.
To be successful in this role, you'll have an outstanding academic background in a financial or accounting degree with 12-14 years of total experience. You should possess regulatory knowledge and experience in capital and RWA. You'll have the ability to develop strong working relationships with team members and key internal clients including Compliance, the Systems team and business unit finance teams.
You'll also possess strong people management and leadership skills, have strong attention to detail, be proactive and have the ability to see multiple tasks through to completion. Experience in process improvement using tools like Alteryx, Power BI and Robotics would be advantageous.
