Manager - Regulatory Reporting systems Change Manager

Job Description

Join us and help manage the team for the Capital - Systems Axiom and Capital Reporting DataHUb while owning your career in an empowering an inclusive culture.
As a Change Manager with a strong foundation in data analysis and experience in financial services, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to use your initiative in managing the initial transition of BAU support, data validation and analysis tasks to the Global Financial Systems Operations Team, and subsequently improve processes and enhance the scope of the team's service offering.
This role will offer plenty of interaction with Macquarie's teams across the globe, including Finance and Risk teams, as you manage the releases across the systems, impact of releases to the downstream system, testing requirements, release timelines and data requirements. You'll help prioritise the system/release/environment level activities and work on the new regulatory requirements, performing gap analysis, creating BRDs and coordinating the development, testing, and review. You'll also manage the regulatory reporting system (Axiom and CRDH) end-to-end for various geographies, be responsible for the data validation process, updates to rule logic and release management and use your SQL skills to deliver ad-hoc reporting to key stakeholders. You'll also assist in monitoring the user support mailbox, including running and distributing data extracts to users, provide user testing support and results analysis for both ongoing change programs and scheduled code releases. You'll manage the Data Warehouse/Regulatory control framework, ensuring documentation keeps pace with change in the system environment, and help identify opportunities to improve processes.
To be successful in this role you'll have an academic qualification in either Accounting, Finance or Information Technology. You'll have a minimum 8-11 years of post-qualification experience with strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases as well as basic ETL/data warehouse concepts. It is essential that you have previous experience in the Financial Services industry and a background in regulatory reporting (accounting, product control or systems accounting would be ideal). Having knowledge of financial instruments and products would be preferred, but not mandatory. Great communication skills are required as the role will involve interaction with clients and colleagues at various levels. You should have the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and the self-confidence to work independently - initially in establishing a new service line, and over time in increasing the scope of the service line. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are vital for this role along with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Having some exposure to process improvement and project management methodologies would be preferred. You'll have experience with Financial Accounting and Risk Management concepts and have the ability to investigate business issues and identify technical root causes.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you to further your career, apply online now.
