Position Overview
The Independent Review Group (IRG) is an independent Level 1 control function performing trading surveillance across the Corporate and Investment Bank division. Located within Regulatory Operations, IRG are closely aligned with front office whilst maintaining segregation to perform a review and challenge control - identification and prevention of potentially fraudulent trading activity. The platform provides sophisticated analytics to generate meaningful alerts, automated workflow and management reporting to support the monitoring and fraud detection process. The role will require you to have the ability to report and organize the deliveries associated with the IRG control functions.
The role is unique within the IRG team as you will have an understanding of how IRG operates across all of its control pillars for Internal and External Surveillance.

Your key responsibilities
  • Organizing monthly data for external and internal reporting that highlights the team's achievements and risk.
  • Attending training sessions and involvement in development and testing tasks to understand how the team's controls are designed to work and operate
  • Working on projects with support and guidance from others in the team
  • Managing the timely deliverables associated with audit, self-identified issues and process improvements
  • Creating ad- hoc and monthly presentations for internal partners and senior management

Your skills and experience
  • A minimum 4 years of experience with understanding trade process flows from inception to settlement
  • Being comfortable with quickly creating power point presentations that can articulate themes, ideas and risk
  • Having the ability to handle large data sets in excel that can be optimized by using v-look up and pivot tables
  • An ability to work independently to solve business problems, an inquisitive nature, a willingness to ask questions and challenge, ability to work in fast-paced environment and good at communicating to all levels
  • Being able to lead meetings with peers and senior leadership in attendance
