Role/Project Description EMPLOYEE / CONSULTANT REQUISITION - POSITION DESCRIPTION
Minimum Qualifications: (Specify if degree required & type, number of years of prior experience, certifications, etc.)
- 4 - 6 years of hands on experience as a developer with Hadoop, Python & CDP.
- 3&plus Years of working experience on DataFrame
- Master's or Bachelor's degree from top tier colleges with good grades.
- Logical thinking and reasoning, understanding capability and good communication is a must.
- Certified Hadoop Developers - certified candidates will have more priority
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Hands on experience on pyspark coding on spark yarn mode
- In depth knowledge of SQL
- Python OOP and software development on python ( preferably 2.7 )
- Knowledge on hadoop framework and big data technologies
- Hands on experience of linux environments
- The candidate will be developing and supporting ETL codes on spark written on python 2.7
- Will be working on gathering new requirements and implement it on home grown python tools
- Will be working closely with Hadoop admins and data analysts. Candidate will have to understand the business insight and translate it into ETL code and specify requirements to Hadoop admins for any Hadoop level changes
- Knowledge on Data science tools as the candidate will be acting as consultant to data science teams for python coding
- Opportunity to try out bleeding edge technologies to provide POC, which will be evaluated and put on use if approved.
- Developing a good understanding of service products, the technology within them and taking a lead on taking the technology stack to the next level
- Collaborate with development team (including architecture, BA coding & testing teams) to produce/maintain additional product and project deliverables in technical design, testing & program specifications, additional test scenarios and project plan.
Good to Have
- Candidate would be given additional weightage if they have a good score on stackoverflow and github accounts respectively
- Knowledge in US Healthcare Insurance
- Ability to work independently and as team
- Ability to provide tactical and strategic solutions based on the stakeholder's/client's requirements.
- Willingness to work on both the development and support activities.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Should provide valuable insights on process improvements in the development lifecycle
- Mentor and train junior developers
