HSPE will help provide ethics technology specific to Intel IP and innovate on SW+HW stack by implementing toolkit plug-ins and features for AI trustworthiness, intersecting with AI security + privacy. The AI Ethics charter deliverables will be intersecting with these vectors from the Intel Responsible AI principles in this order of priority: Explainable AI (XAI) Human Oversight Security, Safety, and Reliability Energy Efficiency Equity and Inclusion (Fairness) Personal Privacy Humans Rights Implications. The role will involve contributing to the following swim lanes: 1. Compliance, 2. Development and productization, 3. One Intel Alignment. The HSPE algorithm development use cases that will be prioritized with this role are: Robotics, Audio, Conversational AI, Telemetry.
Qualifications
This role provides the opportunity to develop strong technical expertise in the topic of AI and in-demand skills to analyze the evolving AI landscape, map AI Ethics principles to technical implementation, and develop novel features for end-to-end SW AI pipelines with an eventual focus on HW. Necessary training will be provided to develop technical expertise for the following items. AI and AI Ethics Upskill training: Input Data (types, mislabeling, anonymization, differential privacy), AI model (training, inference, and runtime phases), output data (AI security considerations). Responsibilities: 1. Implement and deliver technical solutions into IOTG products, starting with SW and scaling to novel silicon IP capabilities. Develop POCs and tools for AI Ethics/AI Trustworthiness plug-ins to OpenVino, DevCloud, and similar IOTG SW toolkits, considering cloud and edge solutions. These solutions may either be released internally, or released externally as user-facing reference implementations. Examples include developing tools to evaluate AI trustworthiness at inference and tools for measuring AI model robustness at the edge. The role will provide the opportunity for close collaboration with research and development teams across Intel, including IOTG verticals (industrial, autonomous transporation and infrastructure, developer experience, etc.), IAGS, Intel Labs, etc., for sharing IP, pathfinding, and development of AI Ethics technical deliverables. Example of this work may include taking open-source Intel Labs research and incorporating this as user-facing reference implementations for IOTG SW toolkits. The resulting research can also result in patenting and/or publishing novel IP. 2. Analysis of the AI Ethics competitive landscape, and development of a roadmap and operational plan to 'keep up' with our customers and competitors, to differentiate and potentially monetize. Examples of work include: Developing a benchmarking framework proposal for 3rd party startup acquisitions and open-source offerings for Intel Responsible AI offerings. 3. The role will offer the opportunity to influence external outreach on AI Ethics, including contributing foundational technical pillars towards collective Intel's AI Ethics branding strategy/story and providing ethical guidelines and tools for developer experience. Technical contributions to Partnership on AI, and potential for influencing standards and working with Government, Market, and Trades (GMT) team on policies. Examples include: Translating policies on topics such as, 'error-free' data, explainable AI, and energy efficiency, into concrete definitions of technical AI ethics and trustworthiness vectors that are shared with broader Intel GMT, Legal, and policy teams. 4. Alignment with teams within HSPE, the IOTG Edge.AI Ethics Council, and Intel Responsible AI Council to increase technical awareness and incorporating AI Ethics in the SDL processes for compliance with ethical guidelines. The role may include mapping of AI Ethics vectors to HSPE algorithm development and research, providing feedback and incorporating AI Ethics compliance and risk assessment strategies, and influencing IOTG-wide training. Qualifications: Python, software engineering experience. Basic machine learning and deep learning experience is preferred.Inside this Business Group
