Role Description - Summary
This role is for Software Development Engineer or Senior Software Development Engineer responsible for developing and unit testing software applications. The candidate is expected to work closely with Team Leads or Software Development Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software application is delivered to users. He/She should be coming from a strong technological background. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance. Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior resources in the team. Work closely with team members and vendor team to design and develop software. Should have good communication skill and strong positive outlook.

Your key responsibilities
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Hands-on software development
- Should be able to contribute towards good software design
- Thorough testing of developed software
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings
- Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner
- Train other team members to bring them up to speed
- Analyse software defects and fix them in timely manner
- Work closely with Functional Analysis and Quality Assurance teams
Experience / Exposure
Must have
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in Groovy scripting with deep rooted foundation in Java programing language
- Scripting experience with Python
- Good experience in unit testing technologies
- Should have worked with XML and XSD
- Should have worked on basic SQL queries
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with build and continuous integration tools like Ant, Maven, Teamcity and Hudson
- Exposure to data governance tools like Collibra
- Experience with data modelling is a plus
