The Senior accounting Analyst is responsible for performing general ledger analysis and must be extremely strong in the general ledger reconciliations. The Senior accounting Analyst plays a key role within the finance team by helping to ensure integrity of the financials. The accounting Analyst will report to the Accounting Manager.
The Team: This Team will work closely with Sales/Sales Operations, Legal, Customer Success Management, Enterprise Technology and the Finance team to drive best practices for athena's Billing Operations. Employee(s) will be required to provide support on any other job-related assignments by authorized leadership.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments, including supporting documentation and appropriate descriptions.
- Close financial statements on a monthly basis.
- Analysis and reporting of variances and fluctuations.
- Coordinate between multiple departments including accounts payable, procurement, financial planning and analysis, accounting both in India and the United States. Attitude of excellent process execution and continuous improvement
- Prepare GL reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Typical Qualifications
- Strong knowledge on accounting and have accounting background.
- Strong documentation skills
- Degree in Finance & Accounting.
- At least 3+ years general ledger accounting experience is required
