Key responsibilities
. Managing the India Landside Transportation and CHB procurement team. This is will be having members sitting in several different offices across India.
. Managing complex procurement projects within operations in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution.
. Being accountable for integrating Contract Management frameworks to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance.
. Accountability for problem solving, analytical work, and driving insights from analytical work related to procurement functions
. Leading negotiations and coordinating Service Level Agreements between Maersk and its suppliers.
. Driving supplier relationship management
. Performing supplier market analysis and organising market intelligence.
. Cooperating closely with colleagues within the WCA region and LOC
. Some travel within the WCA region is to be expected
We are looking for
. At least 5 years of experience in Logistics, specifically Inland Transportation, Supply chain management and Customs House Brokerage
. A Degree in a Business/Supply Chain Management or a related field
. Experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Cold Chain, E-Commerce logistics would be an added advantage
. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
. Strong negotiating skills
. Willingness to work in a fast paced and often ambiguous environment
. High learning agility
. Languages: English
Preferred:
. Master's degree or MBA
. Leadership experience
. A strong procurement background
