Job Description
- Should have good knowledge of Windchill Architecture / Infrastructure
- High level proficiency in Windchill 11+ system administration
- Ability to quickly resolve basic support tickets such as check-in failures, script error, CAD publishing issues, etc.
- Ability to determine root causes of problems and recommend strategies to prevent recurrences
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, ability to perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and systems documentation
- Able to work in a team when a multi-disciplinary approach is required for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Well versed in managing the Incidents using Ticketing tool
- Ability to work on rotation shift in different timezones for supporting US and EU end users
- Should know how to work with PTC to get help and troubleshoot major system administration issues.
Desired skills:
- Ability to install, patch and upgrade Engineering applications
- Ability to create, modify and maintain workflows, groups and roles. Ability work on access control and permissions
- Ability to troubleshoot CAD-PLM interaction issues and finding resolution.
- Ability to troubleshoot other PLM interaction issues and finding resolution.
- Server management and good understanding of Windchill Cluster environment
- Ability to work proactively to propose process and continuous improvement ideas and plan to achieve it
- Understand and follow the standard operating procedures for the support model
- Should have good hands-on experience in Windows and Linus OS.
- Working knowledge with Oracle DB , basic SQL queries, Unix Shell scripting is desirable
- Participate in customer reviews requiring server impacts or temporary outages
- Perform recovery and restoration of servers
Preferred Skills:
- Enterprise System Administration experience with PTC Windchill PDMLink 11.1 (Rehosts, Update, Upgrade, Patching, Clustering, Replication, Vault Configuration and management, Method Server/Server Manager log review and troubleshooting; Application Performance Management/Monitoring; Perform code deployments and configuration changes at the system level)
- Familiarity with ITIL v3 would be beneficial (ISO process framework for IT).Experience in Cloud implementation of Windchill added benefit
- Knowledge of SQL or Oracle based applications (SQL administration a plus)
