Role: Associate - Java+Testing Engineer

The Quality Assurance and Testing role is a hands-on position, responsible for both working closely with the Sprint Teams and the Partner Applications to conduct System and E2E testing for the Galileo Payment platform.

Your Responsibilities
- Minimum of 6 years experience in formal Software Quality Assurance with at least 3 years in the Financial Industry
- Payments domain knowledge/experience
- Proven success to identify and document test cases that maximize coverage and minimize overlap
- Ability to fully document Issues and Defects that enable development to easily trouble shoot and identify root cause
- Experience executing in both an Agile & waterfall environment
- Experience working on a matrixed team
- Experience with QA and Defect management tools such as Jira
- Established ability to deliver products on-time that exceed client expectations
- Is an established advocate for Quality
Your skills and experience
- UAT tester will be assigned to partner with one or more sprint teams.
- Work with BFA/in-sprint tester - during the development sprints - to document Acceptance criteria for defects and stories and translate those to clear test cases (positive and negative) and data requirements that will be synchronized across testing environments
- Set up of data and test case prerequisites
- Review results of in-sprint test cases (i.e. validation of the acceptance criteria)
- Validation of Acceptance criteria in the E2E UAT environment (i.e. execution and documentation of test cases), and review those results with Business/Operations to confirm that the requirements have been met
- Attend meetings with BFA/UAT/Sprint teams to ensure that Acceptance criteria and approach to validate are clear and achievable. This may include grooming sessions, sprint demos, and/or ad-hoc meetings
- Work closely with Business/Operations to ensure adequate testing is performance so as not to negatively impact production with our scheduled releases
- Partner with other QA resources and leads to refine and implement QA best practices to ensure an effective, and efficient quality delivery
- Ensure testing-specific audit requirements are met
- Establish a positive and supportive relationship with Agile teams, development and Business counterparts, to ensure that quality products are released to production
- Create, execute, and lead test activities for assigned areas
- Work with project and delivery teams to identify and mitigate issues and risks early in the product lifecycle
- Assist in the tactical and strategic execution of test automation.
