Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of one or more information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company's data, tools and information systems. Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Usually requires subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Job Description:
IT Group at Maxim India, Gandhinagar India provides IT custom application development and enhancement support to Maxim's business units spread across the globe. It is involved in very critical and niche areas like manufacturing tool automation, central engineer and testing operations and supports IT solutions which use frameworks like Java/J2EE, .NET, php, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL*Server, MongoDB, etc.
Job Description:
Manage Maxim's IT operations in Gandhinagar and make contribution to Maxim operations:
- Set objectives for competency development programs within the IT group and grow the value it provides to Maxim's business operations while also continuously improving the IT group's capability
- Promote a customer-centric culture and enable the team to create a value-adding dialog with internal customers to better understand and address their needs
- Support strategic IT initiatives for the business units by providing inputs and active assistance in creation and execution of organizational plans
- Create a winning team with a can-do attitude which grows with the organization
- Establish and enhance IT delivery and execution processes and provide objective metrics-driven assessment and monitoring mechanisms to constantly improve in terms of maturity
- Create, monitor and execute operational plans for successful completions of IT projects within the agreed cost and timeline and with excellent quality of user experience
- Collaborate with various teams and peers across the organization and contribute to IT team's value to the organization
The candidate is expected to be self-starter, self-motivated and should thrive in a dynamic 24/7 operation.
- B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech / M.S. in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science with experience with 15 years in IT field. He/she should have at least 5 years of experience in people management
- Very strong experience in program/project management involving globally distributed teams
- A good understanding of multiple IT programming frameworks , associated IDEs and IT tools
- Preferably a good understanding of SAP ERP to enable strong integration of custom applications with central SAP system and avoid duplicating the functionality of SAP in custom applications
- Experience of working with stakeholders in different geographies and time zones and willing to work in flexible hours to establish a strong interpersonal rapport with teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills and be familiar with IT process standards
- A good understanding of functional areas in a manufacturing industry and what IT can do to enhance the effectiveness in those areas preferred experience in hi-tech/semiconductor industry
- Excellent communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence various stakeholders in the program and create a win-win scenario
- Willingness to travel as and when required
- Exposure to working in US, its culture or working closely with US teams would be an added qualification
