Manages and operates a global networked information system, solving third level problems and faults to ensure defined service levels. Monitors and improves network performances. Specific focus on Content Delivery & Security aspects.
Ensures the alignment of the network, including telecommunication and/or computer infrastructure to meet the organizations communication needs.
Execute IT projects
F5 load balance (Mandatory)
Monitoring and management of Cisco Firewall. Major contribution of this position
Defines network design policies, philosophies and criteria.
Creates and maintains network designs
Ensures that network performance, recovery, and security meet agreed service agreement standards
Investigates, diagnoses and solves network problems
Monitors the network for problem conditions, implements network troubleshooting procedures to isolate specific problem source and take corrective action.
Initiates, updates, tracks and closes change and problem tickets;
Creates and sends network alerts as needed to internal organizations
Uses network management system tools to determine network load and models performance statistics
Actively researches IP networks for areas of potential problems and implements quality improvements
Establishes and maintains relationships with various stakeholders including developers, end-users, vendors and solution providers.
Advises and informs internal and external stakeholders on networking topics
Consults with and coordinates activities of external service providers
Maintains awareness of relevant legislation affecting network security.
Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelor degree or higher in a telecommunications or other relevant field
8-10 years working experience and Cisco certified
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Working knowledge of data/IP networks equipment, terminology and standards
Working knowledge of Ethernet switching and IP routing including VLANs, access lists, and routing protocols
Working experience with: Wireless technology, Firewalls, Proxies, Active Prev., SSL VPN, VPN, 2-Factor Authentication
Working knowledge of network security and firewalls
1. Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches
2. Working experience with VoIP protocols. Preferably Soft VOIP gateways
