What you'll bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5 to 8years of related experience in a high-capacity, high-impact environment
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Splunk architect, administrator, or developer for a large enterprise environment (minimum 6.5.x)
- Expertise in Splunk enterprise architecture such as Search Heads, Indexers, Deployment server, Deployer, License Master, Heavy/Universal Forwarders.
- Experience on platform Architecture and Capacity planning also on several platform Upgrade and Optimization
- Experience on Splunk Enterprise Deployments and enable continuous integration as part of configuration using (props.conf, Transforms.conf, Input.conf&Output.conf, Deployment.conf) management
- Experience on log parsing, complex Splunk searches, including external table lookups, Splunk data flow, components, features and product capability
- Experience in Designing solutions and concepts for data aggregation and visualization. Splunk deployment. Able to troubleshoot Splunk server problems and issues
- Develop automation within the Splunk infrastructure, monitoring/configuration solution to improve efficiency & availability of application and the infrastructure
- Ability to write/create custom dashboards, alerts, searches, and reports to meet requirements of various user groups
- Experience in infrastructure automation for splunk deployment in AWS using CD, terraform, cloud formation etc
- Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as reports, training material and architecture diagrams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to drive complex project requirements across a heavily matrixed organization
- Strong background in Linux
Desired Skillsets
- Splunk Certifications
- AWS Associate Architect certification
- Good understanding of various application/infrastructure services such as Web, Application, Network, Compute & Storage
- Advanced ability in a scripting language - python, ainsible etc preferred
- Splunk dashboard design & development
- Knowledge of Windows OS
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Ability to influence and drive consensus
- Prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction or supervision
- Ability to have constructive debates to reach the best outcome for Intuit
How you will lead
- Work with various BU groups to design, build, and deploy Splunk and related infrastructure in AWS
- Lead Proof-of-Concepts on third party products integrating to splunk, mentor and guide other team members on understanding the use case of Splunk.
- Lead team in Engineering efforts such as new feature evaluation, cost optimization & Splunk alternatives
- Collaborates with peer groups and delivers unified solution that effectively correlates application and infrastructure attributes
- Develop automation within the Splunk infrastructure, monitoring/configuration solution to improve efficiency & availability of application and the infrastructure
- Performs the role of a Subject Matter Expert in the domain
- Ensures defined compliance & governance is implemented and adapted by self and the organization
