What you'll bring
Qualifications
- An engineering or equivalent degree, and related to computer science.
- Prior experience in backend/server side/ platform engineering domains (or) have to be full-stack developer.
- Hands on coder with strong engineering fundamentals. Experience preferably on Java with Sprint boot and well versed with service development, and understanding of different scalable architectures are expected. Ability to work on databases (sql and no-sql) are a requirement.
- Hard core trouble shooting skills are a must.
- Open source contributions, public github demonstrations, self-driven technical initiatives are expected.
- Uniqueness in thought process, ability to stand out, being highly innovative are expected traits.
- Strong knowledge of domain/products that you have worked on is expected.
- Understand processes and having a point of view of effectiveness in process is expected.
- Ability to be a mentor and grow engineers around you is an expected skill.
- For exploring, prototyping and designing one or more components to be deployed in AWS.
How you will lead
Responsibilities
- Play a key role and lead an area of ownership in the platform engineering space.
- Demonstrate high degree of ownership and take initiatives at work.
- Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments. Your ability to influence and collaborate with teams is a key quality that is expected.
- Operate with urgency and speed to benefit. Expect to think strategically at all times.
- Support key platform initiatives to develop services for Intuit.
- Successful delivery of high quality REST web services software (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.).
- Approximately 80-95% hands-on coding.
- You care about all aspects of software engineering and are always keen to learn new languages algorithms data structures techniques tools libraries services processes.
- Resolve defects/bugs during the life cycle of the product.
- Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics.
- Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers.
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies.
- Mentor and grow engineers.
