Internal Job Title: Inbound Planning Lead
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced professional for Logistics partner management supervisor role, who will be part of the operations team of Nike India in SEA&I territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading logistics partner management team, who manages 3PL (Warehouse & Logistics partner), CHB (Customs house broker), end to product flow and Transport & Customs Trade Compliance activities in Export/Import. Manages supply chain processes to increase efficiency and costs effective solutions at every step of the value chain. The candidate will also closely partner with country and regional teams to ensure alignment on seamless execution of Inbound and Outbound operations.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
* Manages inbound & outbound partner management team, accountable for the performance and results of the team
* Closely partner with internal X-functional stake holders, logistics service provider (LSP), customs broker and 3PL to ensure seamless supply chain operations
* Responsible for effective handling of import/export, distribution activities and maintain cost-effective movement of goods while meeting country regulatory requirements.
* Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Is accountable for projects or programs with manageable risks and resource requirements
* Facilitate conversations and lead supply chain performance reviews with LSP/customs broker that drive operational excellence.
* Provides operational guidance to employees, colleagues, customers and manages contracts with 3PL's and customs broker
* Responsible for development and management/administration of all policies and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Applies best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes, or services
* Actively engages with Customs House Broker (CHB) for proper customs clearance to meet specified regulations (CAROTAR - customs administration of rules of origin under trade agreement, etc..)
* Manage Customs House Broker (CHB) & 3PL (3rd party logistics provider) to meet the agreed service levels
* Co-ordinate with stake holders (CHB, Consolidators, Factories, and internal X-functional teams) to ensure on time clearance of consignments and ensure 100% customs compliance.
* Partner with external consultants and auditors where necessary to ensure smooth clearance
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
You will partner with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external. Internally, this role will partner closely with cross-functional teams such as marketplace unit leads, marketplace operations, Legal/GPA, Finance, partner management analysts and regional (Goods Flow Planning) & Performance Management) teams. Externally, this role may liaise with Customs broker, 3PL (Warehousing & Logistics), Consolidators and Legal consultants.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
* 4 to 6 years experience in Supply Chain Logistics & Import/Export operations with a bachelor's degree in related education or closely related
* 1-3 years of experience in Customs or Trade industry, Logistics, Import/Export operations and 3PL management preferred
* Excellent verbal communication and a very strong written communication skill
* Experience in SAP & Microsoft Excel essential to this role and experience in WMS or Logistics tools will be an added advantage
* Able to study statistics, data trending, strong at data analytics and Experience in planning/forecasting
* Any other professional certificates in supply chain, training in relation to the job will be an added advantage
