Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:Liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points
To create/visualize an idea and producing by hand sketch or using computer based software's
To create new developments and concepts in terms of fabric, prints and design,colors and shapes
Prior experience in product development in saris is a must
Managing design process from conception through final styling
Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration
Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy
Selecting fabrics and trims
Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers
To keep up-to-date with emerging and upcoming market trends, competition as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and silhouette
Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelors design in design or fine arts, or college degree in fashion design or related field
3 + years design experience
Proficient with all designing software's like Adobe Illustrator, Coral Draw etc
Availability to travel for research and product development
Ability to do sketches by hand
Excellent designs and conceptual skills
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
