- Operational Excellence:
To plan and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance of the critical equipment and develop norms and standards for preventive maintenance of other electrical equipments for ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency at optimum cost.
- Plan for PM of Criritical Equipments like HT and LT Switchgear, Component of 132 kV Switchyard and motors of Cl2 filling area , Water treatment plant, H2 bottling, Pump house area.
- Review Rates of Failure & plan for Change/ modification of plan as per MTBF.
- To Review the analysis of Root cause, co ordinate with other departments for modifications of norms, OEM Suppliers, External specialists to help resolve difficult problems.
- Power Efficiency
Cost effective planning of power considering utilization of MD and power factor for power purchased from grid for minimizing the cost and maximizing the utilization of the power drawn from the grid.
- Planning of Power as per power mapping & production requirement.
- Liaise with Electricity board for Maximum Demand requirement during emergency failure of Power plant.
- Planning for power factor & use of capacitor banks for maximizing utilization of Grid power
- Energy Conservation
To review and drive major energy saving initiatives across the plant to achieve targeted energy saving.
- Study the scope of energy savings Vis a Vis current power consumption & power availability trend.
- Prepare & plan energy saving schemes & budgetary planning.
- Convince & take approval for implementation of same.
- Execute the approved plan & ensure energy savings.
- Manpower Control
Optimising the utilisation of manpower for cost control and productivity enhancement
- Optimize the manpower utilization at respectice area and reduce over time of manpower.
- Planning Budgeting and Cost Control
Developing, monitor and control budget to ensure that the departmental working and expenses are in line with unit and business targets
- Based on unit guidelines, internal customer requirements, options of synergies and long-term departmental approach provide inputs to DH for budget, of Utility area.
- Safety, Occupational Health and Environment
Achieving the safety standards to ensure safe and healthy work environment
- Ensure 100 % implementation in the Utility area.
- Follow safety standards and timely review the SOP as per requirement.
- Statutory and legal compliance
To meet the statutory and legal requirements to ensure that the organization is compliant to the laws of land
- To coordinate with Govt. Electricity suppliers and distributors for ensuring availability of power and timely addressal of any major breakdown at their end and changes in contract with the same.Ensuring compliance at the plant with Electrical safety norms and getting approval for new systems and ensuring that any issues etc. are handled in timely and effective manner.
- Planning and Execution of Projects.
- To ensure the planning , material indent (SAP) and delivery on site within the time limit by interacting with other Internal and external coustmer in case of any new innovation & development CAPEX and Projects so as to avoid any delay in he set deadline by management.
