About the team:
At FIS we are looking for a Monitoring Tools representative to join the Nogios Administration team. The successful candidate will provide in Infrastructure, network and System Monitoring Tools like Nagios Core, Nagios XI, OpManager, Zabbix, Icinga etc
What you will be doing :
Setup monitoring for server performance and availability
Maintenance of the Fault and Performance Management tools (Nagios XI, VictorOps, OpManager)
Should have experience in working on Remedy, SNOW ticketing tools
Provide metrics for capacity management purposes.
Troubleshoot performance issues, troubleshoot OS configuration and hardware failures and apply fixes
Event Management (analyze alerts and logs), Upgrading the application.
Should have experience on Incident handling, Change requests, RITM-TASKs
Root Cause Analysis, Problem resolution
Initiate, assess, test, verify, document and quality assure system updates
Create and implement change requests for incidents/problems as needed
Should have hands on experience in implementation of Nagios XI and Fusion solution.
Good Knowledge on ITIL processes.
What you Bring:
RHEL certification would be value addition for this role, need to have knowledge of Unix, Linux, SAN, Database Systems (DB2 Oracle MSSQL), networks, citrix, VMware
Excellent written and verbal skills and grasp of the English language
4+ Years work experience in Windows/Linux/network/systems technical support
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (HTTP, SMTP, SNMP, etc.)
Professional work ethic and attitude
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to learn quickly
Excellent customer service skills
Experience with Linux (CentOS or RedHat preferable)
Experience with Windows (desktop and/or server operating systems)
Experience with Apache
Experience with Scripting (Perl, Shell, Python, Powershell, etc)
Experience with Stream processing on Linux/Unix systems
Experience with Debugging and troubleshooting skills on Linux
Experience with network infrastructure monitoring
Experience with VMware / Microsoft virtualization solutions (e.g. ESX and Virtual Server)
Experience with Web, DNS, FTP, and mail servers
Experience with Microsoft Server operating systems, MySQL or Postgres
