Job Context
To execute supply chain, warehousing, inventory, logistics, that reduce delivery time, reduce cycle times, reduce costs, streamline information flow, quicken the decision making process, and build a cohesive management team with respect pulp management. . Maintaining Optimum Inventory levels of Various Pulp qualities and other Raw Material.
To ensure the all activities of pulp warehouse management carried with all safety perspective and providing good qualities of pulp to our Internal customer of Viscose. Also develop warehouse Management Which is self-sustaining systems, new and revolutionary concepts and work practices in the journey toward excellence.
Interact with Insurance team to avoid the damage cost by providing all the details pertaining to damage material. Also Coordinating with Various Auditor for audit of Statutory /Internal/ PEFC/FSC /Safety/ISO/WCM requirements. Coordinating with accounts department for payment of bills to Various agencies after checking & Service entry.
Major Challenges
1. Maintaining Optimum Inventory levels of Various Pulp quality also PEFC /FSC Pulp Inventory. To achieve Zero detention and Zero Demurrage in Import Logistic, which require meticulous planning and execution at each leg of Logistics involving multimode transportation, multiple agents, etc.
2.Toensure effective warehousing of Pulp in open and covered storage location with keeping the quality free from dirt contamination, wet from rain and has to be managed in limited available storage capacity.
3.Ensuring to maintain of Open Pulp warehouse with Proper tarpaulin, Wooden Pallets, insect free, dust free and safe movement of pulp from various locations to Viscose department.
4.Continuously explore the possibilities to reduce the Handling cost in warehouse with safety concern and limited equipment.
5.Execute timely stock transfer from Warehouse to other unit with lowest logistics cost so that other unit will not affected in a crucial situation especially for Harihar and Nagda without affecting the work of our BC plant.
6.Prepare with limited manpower of all activity of pulp warehouse which include GRN, Pulp Issue, maintain and share quality data to user department, loading /Unloading /shifting /Preparation of Invoice in STO Case etc.
7.Efficiently handling of contractor manpower for Pulp warehouse in material handling activity within and outside the Plant.
8.To Ensure and develop warehouse management system for safe working culture.
9.Ensure proper fund planning for custom duty also ensure timely payment to concern agencies like transporter, contractor, vendor, CHA ,Pulp Supplier, shipping line and custom authorities.
10.Re-Use of Import Containers in Export to reduce transportation cost with co-ordination with Marketing and all required agencies for smooth function to reduce to logistic cost.
11.To ensure and support to our research centre ABCFRC /TRADC for Pulp activity.
12.Timely Provide all data for Capex Scheme MIT related data to concern authorities
13.Development in configurations of SAP and ensuring 100% change in the system for Procurement as well as warehouse.
14.Coordinate with other sections/departments/Auditor for relevant data & inputs.
15.Ensure Smooth Conducting of PEFC /FSC Pulp audit by outsider agencies for getting forest certification.
16.Safe working culture amongst the team of technician & contact worker.
Key Results Areas
(A) Day to day execute Pulp Warehouse and contractor Management system for BC
  1. To execute effective and efficient working in warehousing of Pulp
  2. Managing Pulp Inventory in limited available storage capacity in the plant.
  3. Checking the cleanness of warehouse and get the jobs done by contract labour so that pulp quality will not be deteriorate.
  4. To ensure the movement of Various type of Pulp quality without damage and Issue of Pulp with effective deployment of forklift operator in warehouse
  5. Arranging bales stacking / de stacking according to the Quality of pulp in warehouse with best utilization of available location.
  6. Ensure for Better utilization of equipment Pulp bale while unloading /Stacking
  7. Ensure Proper covering of tarpaulin / wooden Pallets for Zero Wetted of Pulp bales while outside storing of Pulp unit.
  8. On need / requirement basis material should be transfer at Harihar /Nagda Unit as per our Inventory Position in warehouse.

(B) Day to day execute Pulp Warehouse and contractor Management system for BC
  1. Preparing and reporting of critical items to the management related to Pulp Inventory like FSC /PEFC Pulp material in our hand.
  2. Ensure & Maintaining proper documentation by filing and keep records into system as soft copy for as and when required
  3. Capturing and Creating batch which same to be provided to internal dept. for making GRN at the time of material receipt in SAP
  4. Physical Verification on day to day
  5. Manage 20 contract manpower + Technician
  6. Develop the warehouse Management system.
  7. Coordination with Production and process user

(C) Logistics
  1. Monitor placing of maximum Container / trucks by following up with transporter as and when require on daily basis.
  2. Coordination with transporter for daily planning of container receipt.
  3. Establish strong and healthy liaison with shipping line / transporter / Adani Port & CHA to avoid extra cost. for ensuring timely clearance of container from transporter and shipping line of shipment.
  4. Coordination for stock transfer to other Unit as per the urgent business requirement.
  5. Guide / Instructed to vendors and contractors to ensure to full fill 100% legal / Vehicle / safety compliances at their end to avoid Interest/penalty.
  6. Arranging freight forwarder and getting the best quotation for Stock transfer.

(D) Cost Optimization
1. Proper fund planning for Custom duty payment.
2. Vendor development for creating competition, achieving better
price and quality for Material handling equipment etc.at Warehouse.
3. Timely filling the Bill of entry to avoid the Interest /Penalty by Custom, also ensure that all documents will be submitted on time at Custom.
4. Managing warehouse cost at the time of High stock pulp situation. Kept outside
5. Negotiation with various Vendor to reduce cost
(E) MIS and reporting
  1. Prepare and submit Monthly Inventory report / Material in transit detail / Pulp MIS report / TAT report / AD Weight report/ Pulp Ageing report on time.
  2. Preparing and reporting of critical items to management related to Pulp.
  3. To have system in place ensuring timely and accurate Payment to Transporter /CHA / Material handling vendor.
  4. Prepare and analyze various type of report for management Purpose

(F)Safety Standard
1. Implement work procedures to execute the task as per process to build robust safety culture in our warehouse
2. Conduct safety Training and Daily Tool Box talk with Staff, Technician and Contractual manpower.
3. Conducting awareness program with forklift operator and truck driver.
4. Promote and Monitor safety regulations and take proactive action to create positive safety culture among with the pulp warehouse team.
5. To identify, evaluate and remove safety obstacles which identified during safety rounds and safety observation.
6. Maintain zero Harm /Zero accident in warehouse.
7. Review of current practices and non-compliances of current set procedures and suggest action plan leading to zero accident, Zero deviation from SOP and zero deviation internal / External audit points
8. Member of Unit WCM Work Environment & CFSA committee for initiating various safety works.
(G) People & Contract Management, Team Building
1. To create motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure defined productivity target are met.
2. Identify skill gaps and development needs of Individual and provide training accordingly for developmental areas.
3. Build and maintain positive work environment where team members and contributors are valued and recognized.
4. Define clear job responsibility and recommend for skill assessment of Technician, Identify gaps, provide multitasking
training and monitor progress to deliver his best.
5. Strive to be positive and constructive all times.
