Job Description
Primary Skills : ERP - HANA Smart Data Integration (SDI) - Mastery, ERP - HANA XS - SAP HANA views , XSOData - Knowledge, Agile - Scrum - Kanban - Lean - KnowledgeKey Role and Responsibilities-
Works under guidance of the Senior MI Designer to clarify low ,medium and High complexity MI and analytical requirements from a technical solution design perspective.
Contributes to Prototyping in support of requirements definition or technical design questions
Develops Functional Specs/Technical Specs from business requirements
Develops the design for new solutions/enhancements of low and medium complexity (extraction logic, data modeling, reports)
Works with Business Analyst and Senior MI Designer to develop technical design specification for solutions with high complexity
Supervises Build activities of MI Developers and ensures that Build standards are adhered to
Prepares test scenarios, contributes to end-user documentation and user manuals
Executes/leads Unit Test, and Integration Test for the applicable solutions
Resolves defects during test cycles andhypercare
Creates runbooks
Supports the resolution of Production issues in meetings with the Run & Maintainorganisation.
Maintains the technical documentation according to agreed procedures
Key knowledge areas:
Experience with Native HANA modelling:
Detailed understanding and experience with the SAP HANA technology
Minimum of 3 full life cycle implementations in SAP HANA
SAP HANA modeling and scripting experiencewhich includes ability to write complex stored procedures andscripted HANA views using SQL.
Implement data models with SAP HANA using analytical and calculation views.Monitor, investigate and optimize these models and reporting performance on SAP HANA.
Administer data models in SAP HANA, including setting of information validation rules, managing schemas, the importing/exporting and transporting of data models.
Evaluate the impact of different implementation options such as table joins, aggregation, or filters and understand the implication on performance of the various reporting tools and connection types.
Apply advanced data modeling techniques, including currency conversion, variables and input parameters. Implement decision automation using business rules.
Working knowledge of various data loading and replication methods so to load data into SAP HANA from different data sources (e.g. SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), SAP Data Services, or Direct Extractor Connection (DXC)) is desirable.
Apply SQL Script to enhance the data models in SAP HANA using AFL, CE functions, and ANSI-SQL
Understand and implement HANA Security model.
Good working knowledge of SAP BI4
Building reports using the various tools in theSAP BI4suite (AOLAP, Web) and Analysis for Office
BuildWeBireports and Dashboards
Experience with Rev- Trac/CTS+ transport management tool
Able to perform in-depth problem analysis across BI solutions
Key (functional) competences
Good knowledge of (some of the) SAP ECC6 and functional modules, relevant for Downstream (SD, MM, FICO, )
A good understanding of Oil & Gas industry is a plus
Strong analysis and communication skills
Able to engage with various stakeholders
Must be a well-motivated team player
Organized and methodical, eye for detail
Uses his experience to raise improvement suggestions to agreed design
Must be ready and willing to learn as new opportunities and skills become available
Able to work with limited supervision
Experienced virtual team worker.
