Quality Control Engineer - Electrical @ Technip Global

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sr Engineer - QCS, based in India, Chennai.

This position will contribute to the inspection and Quality Control of the purchased Electrical and Instrumentation items for the applicable projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Candidate will visit vendor shops to carry out inspection/expediting activities
• Candidate will Co-ordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Project personnel for getting necessary documentation to proceed with inspection or expediting activities. He can co-ordinate with other QC offices in India and also with Group QCS

Candidate Profile

• BE Electrical Engineering or BE Instrumentation
• Minimum Work experience 8 Years
• MUST HAVE: Experience in shop inspection for both Electrical and Instrumentation items

Job Profile:

• Previous experience with Vendor Inspection/Quality Control exposure in Inspection Agency/Manufacturing Company/ EPC Company with Oil and Gas Background.
• Candidate shall have Vendor shop Inspection experience in the field of Electrical and Instrumentation items. In addition, experience in the FAT of Automation items like DCS and ESD system, Energy Management System, Telecommunication System etc. can be considered.
• Knowledge in National/International Codes and Standards and statutory requirements related to Instrument and Electrical items. Shall have the ability to understand and fulfil the Client/Consultant specification requirements during inspection and the ability to review the Vendors documentation, inspection and test records.
• Exposure to QHSE Management Systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Shall be conversant with the knowledge of Computer Software in preparation of reports/presentations in Word/Excel/Power Point etc.
