Department Overview

MFG provides lines of credit for mortgage companies (sellers) for use in funding their mortgage loans to borrowers (purchases and refinances). The responsibility of performing post-quality control reviews fall within the Operations area of MFG.
As a part of QC team, TM should ensure that procedures are followed while evaluating the information and escalating the gaps to remediate the identified breaks. Take complete ownership of assigned deliverables and proactively take ownership of reporting responsibilities and strictly adhere to periodical reporting of day to day to delivery.
About the Role

Performs operational activities related to RMBS. Responsible for supporting internal and external customers by providing support services in account management, operations, documentation, customer service and technical support. Duties include: communicating with partners regarding billing, account questions, account transactions researching and resolving problems preparing documentation checklist tracking and monitoring portfolio on an ongoing basis for compliance, position, documentation exceptions, overdrafts, accounting, maintenance of files and reports, letters of credit, pricing and delinquencies preparing regular performance reports of account activities producing and maintaining tickler report and default reports. Orient new and existing TM's by conducting training on products, services, and company policies, procedures and regulations. Assists and provides guidance to junior level operations accounting team members and specialists with reviews of simple to complex problems.
Responsibility includes, but not limited to:
  • Examine and analyze the processes, documentation and/or files of unusual, complex and/or higher risk transactions to ensure compliance with internal company requirements and/or agency or government regulations
  • Ability to work effectively with management and be part of a team to meet targets
  • Strong domain/process knowledge to answer process related questions from the team, train new team members and assist them during their learning curve, if needed.

Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Residential Mortgage domain
  • Analyst should have strong numerical and analytical skills, strong articulation and out of box thinking.
  • Good comprehension and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving, analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to accurately process high volumes of work within established deadlines
  • Demonstrates high degree of reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness in all areas, foster team work
  • Supporting seniors in the team
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Multi Task and ability to deliver tasks effectively
  • Eye for detail and ensure daily processing is done with utmost efficiency
  • Ability to work quickly & accurately while maintaining acceptable standards of workmanship
  • Identify scope of improvement and convert them to projects
  • Understand risk and suggest controls in BAU
  • Handle reporting responsibilities and adherence to timelines
  • Proactive approach on handling volume allocation and task completion
