Department Overview

Corporate Human Resources develops and implements people strategies to support Wells Fargo's business objectives. This group manages human resources shared services including employee support for a broad range of areas in compensation, benefits, HR systems, payroll, employee relations and assistance, talent management, learning and development, and recruiting. We work together as One HR to make Wells Fargo an employer of choice, where people are our competitive advantage. Our operating foundation is based on our ability to operate efficiently, develop HR employees, strengthen controls, and scale technology infrastructure.
About the Role

This role is part of a Global Delivery team that provides support for U.S. and international HR processes, and key stakeholders will predominantly be U.S. HR and Employees.This role reports to the Global Delivery leader for HR Employee Care in India and the Philippines.
Responsibilities
of this role

The Human Resource (HR) Specialist is primarily responsible for answering questions and providing direction to Wells Fargo employees through written communications such as chat functionality, eForm support and email. The requests made by employees are related to questions or problems employees may have related to Wells Fargo benefit plans, payroll, policies, programs and on-line tools associated with human resources. This HR Specialist uses traditional and online human resource systems to document transactional work and educate employees on human resource related topics.
Market Skills and Certifications
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of clerical experience, customer service experience, or a combination of both
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills to include: Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Ability to adhere to established attendance policies
  • Demonstrated ability to work with leaders and employees at all levels and across functional lines
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure all communication is accurate, well-written and in the right voice for the intended audience
  • Strong prioritization and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a strong ability to handle difficult employee inquiries
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix environment, encompassing a broad mix of cultures and client groups

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of some aspect of an HR function, and an understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of HR systems (PeopleSoft, CP&D)

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
  • Flexibility to work different shifts
