Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ownership in handling and driving the sustenance activities in Switches & Routers- Analysis/fixing of assigned defects, regular follow up with stakeholders, proper closure of reported issue with complete analysis/fix.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written). Able to communicate with support team/customer and provide proactive and periodic updates on the day to day activities in bug fixing.
- Ensure quality deliverable.
- Must be a good team player, able to guide/mentor junior engineers
- Must have keen interest in learning new technology
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in C Language, Bug fixing with excellent debugging skills on Linux for Embedded platforms
- Work experience in timing protocols - PTP and NTP
- Experience in working on Chassis based Router/Switches and Networking devices
- Good networking background
Knowledge Preferred:
- Exposure to embedded driver development, especially with ethernet drivers for 10G/40G/100G
- Exposure to platform driver for forwarding ASICs
- Exposure to Linux/FreeBSD device driver development (including I2C, SPI, PCIe network devices)
- Exposure in the area of chassis management, including fault detection and handling
- Exposure to fabric management including fault detection and handling
