Boeing Data Solutions Service provides multiple products and offerings that allow application teams to have the flexibility and agility to meet their specific application development and security requirements, by securing and enabling business data. The team is currently looking for one Senior Product Manager - Database Oracle database support services to join their team in Bengaluru, KA.
Boeing is transitioning from a customized Oracle support model to a generic support model (utilizing Global Customer Services). This will enable all internal Boeing customers, subsidiaries, international partners and enterprise Database Administrators to get standard Oracle support.
Position Responsibilities:
Identify features and products released by Oracle Corporation and see if they fit in the Boeing Oracle database landscape.
Work with larger product management community to identify and test out quarterly patches and new versions released by Oracle Corporation.
Standardize and productize internal bug database for generic Oracle issues which acts as an initial troubleshooting place for Boeing database administrators and developers.
Work very closely with product manager, Database Administrators and Database architects to define technical product requirements and collaborate within agile team to drive User story/tasks creation along with design and development activities.
Automation using DevSecOps and other available tools to expedite the product development along with First Time Quality
Participate in group sessions within developer community and share knowledge
Mentors junior team members and contribute in creating and maintaining best coding practices and oversight using stringent reviews.
Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution
Monitor the implementation of architecture throughout the system development lifecycle and seek and provide clarification when needed.
Work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners, across different cultures and time-zones.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
8+ years experience on product management, database administration and database support role.
5+ years experience with customer facing application support and timely communication with executives.
5+ years experience on working with geographical spread teams across time zones
5+ years Software Development experience in Agile methodology
3+ years experience on interaction with customers and/or user groups
Experience in software testing including automated testing is desirable
Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
Should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred knowledge in Internet-based applications and development like ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
Identify inefficient SQL and PL/SQL and tune them using appropriate hints and indexes
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
Displays excellent oral and written communication skills to team members, peers, customers and management
Strong interpersonal skills - Capable of working as a member of a team, maintaining one's composure in difficult situations
Collaborate effectively with other team members
Experience in Windows and UNIX operating systems
Ability to take given specifications and generate code for functional applications
Ability to test and debug developed applications
Ability to document all program and application development
Ability to develop good user interfaces
Ability to listen and ask appropriate questions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Preferred knowledge in database design, development and using database technologies like Microsoft SQL Server or PL-SQL
Preferred knowledge in programming with object-oriented languages like C#
PowerShell experience desired
Typical Education & Experience:
. Bachelor's or a Master's degree or 3 year Diploma with typically 12+ Year's related work experience or relevant military experience
