Objectives of the role : ATM Data Engineer Projects Development

Our team operates as a small start-up inside Genpact. We are developing a new IT solution called ATM, that automates manual finance activities. The solution consists of an MS SQL/Talend based data engineering part and a web application software part. We follow agile development process. Engineers are part of an English speaking virtual development pod, delivering user stories monthly.

The data engineer will participate in MS SQM/Talend build, test activities of the agile sprints. Will build SQL code and Talend processes, ensure timely and quality deliveries, continuously improving our product

Responsibilities

• Experience with SQL databases, data warehouses, ETL tools
• Hands on experience with MS SQL database and Talend ETL tool
• Data/ETL development oriented, strong developer skills, loves building solutions
• Strong technical skills, ability to learn new technologies fast
• Familiarity with Agile and waterfall software implementation methodologies
• Interest in finance, accounting processes, Oracle ERP, SAP ERP, Cloud Concepts
• Experience in Agile or lean/Six Sigma project management
• Knowledge of programming languages especially Java, JS
• Microsoft SQL Server understanding
• Ability to create high quality functional documentation and strong requirements gathering
• skills.

• Strong technical skills, ability to learn new technologies fast, ability to train junior team mem
• Familiarity with Agile and waterfall software implementation methodologies

Data Engineer

• Follows agile development process of the English speaking global development pod
• Data processing and ETL process build
• Executes development, testing tasks to deliver User Stories for agile sprints
• Builds and changes data table structures, stored procedures, functions
• Builds and tests Talend jobs and processing
• Creates documentation on development items, testing results
• Makes suggestions for improvements

Relation with other departments, suppliers:

• Works with ATM data and web teams, architects to deliver new features for ATM
• Collaborates with ATM functional experts, SMEs, key users, testers
• Collaborates with data lake, infrastructure and DBA teams on related tasks
• Collaborates with other Genpact global data teams
• ATM Product team
