Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
- Own the product roadmap
- Develop scope and define backlog items (epic / features / user stories) that guide the Agile software development team
- Solve product related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments
- Draft key objectives and results, strategies and apply the data for the product to make business decisions
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
- Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product
- Accountable for the product, delivering in the product model and communicating the product needs with business partners
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
- Identify and help the client understand the value proposition
- Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation
- Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product
- Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams
- Grooming and prioritizing backlog
- Developing user stories and defining acceptance criteria
- Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design / user experience, engineering, and user enablement
- Turn data insights into products with actionable outcomes to the ultimate customer
- Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
- Innovation and end-to-end launch of products
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science / Engineering / Science / Mathematics or related field with around 10 years of experience
- Product Owner with about 10 years of experience in Healthcare. Solid understanding and experience in executing projects in the Agile Methodologies
- Experience being a PO for teams responsible for building, maintaining, optimizing or modernizing applications on (or to) Public Cloud, preferably Azure, show-casing event driven, elastically scalable, fault tolerant and other cloud native architecture patterns
- Healthcare domain experience, particularly on EMRs, HIEs, etc.
- Hands-on experience in HL7
- Ability to envision the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements and ability to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to materialize it
- Ability to design and develop the framework of the system and ability to explain choices made. Also write and review design document explaining overall architecture, framework and high level design of the application
- Ability to create, understand and validate Design and estimated effort for given module / task, and ability to justify it
- Ability to define in-scope, out-of-scope and taken assumptions while creating effort estimates
- Ability to identify and integrate well over all integration points in context of a project as well as other applications in the environment
- Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
- Customer first mindset
- Proactive, self-starter with excellent project ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
- High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
- HL7 Certification
- Health care industry experience
- Previous technical experience in Java, J2EE, JSP, JSF, AngularJS, etc.
