Department Overview
Third Party Control Assurance for Procure-to-Paysupports all Wells Fargo business units by providing and facilitating the third party risk framework for the enterprise. The team establishes the strategic direction and requirements for the enterprise-wide third party program procedures, tools, systems, and reporting while ensuring program execution and compliance.
About the Role
This role resides in the Third Party Control & Assurance group within the Third Party Center of Excellence (TPCOE) in the front line. The Third Party (TP) COE Control & Assurance team provides centralized and standardized self-assurance activities (e.g. Quality Assurance (QA) and Monitoring) focusing on TP COE execution of Third Party Programs (TPP). This QA role will be part of the expansion of the QA team to include a Self-Assurance (SA) Program for the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) program, which includes all aspects of the procurement and payment processes of the company. This position will be responsible for reviewing P2P documentation, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices and supplier setup details, to ensure all P2P processes are completed in an accurate and timely manner. In addition, this information will need to be verified by accessing various procurement and accounts payable systems of record. Other responsibilities include maintaining QA results in a tracking tool that allows for reporting to be developed for specific objectives. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement. The Business Support Consultant (BSC) 2 will be responsible for conducting standard P2P QA reviews.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the following:
- Understanding job instructions related to P2P requirements
- Handling less complex quality assurance risk activities utilizing documented procedures
- Evaluating, monitoring, assessing and/or reviewing programs, processes, claims, documentation and/or files to ensure compliance with internal company requirements and/or agency or government regulations
- Evaluating processes to ensure business standards are followed.
- Ensuring identified risks and/or problems are clearly documented and interacting with appropriate parties for timely resolution
- Identifying risks and problem areas and recommending standards, policies, and procedures to correct deficiencies and improve performance
- Executing monthly QA activities
- Collaborating with other TPCOE team members to perform other tasks as assigned
- Navigating systems to perform analyses
- Ensuring integrity of analyses through rigorous attention to detail
- Ensuring alignment to Wells Fargo policies, regulations, and business line objectives

Desired Qualifications

- Experience working within a self-assurance function including quality assurance and monitoring
- Knowledge of procurement processes and systems
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Exposure or familiarity with SAP Ariba, Oracle, PeopleSoft or other procurement, accounts payable, and accounting ERP applications
- Excellent ability to collaborate with others, work independently or as part of a team
- Proven ability to initiate action, adapt to change, make decisions and accept challenging assignments
- Related work experience in one or combination of the following: supply chain management, procurement, accounts payable, tax, accounting, or supplier setup & master data management.
