Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
about the role
To contribute to strategic network evolution projects with Engineering and Architecture teams.
To manage the implementation of complex network development projects aimed at infrastructure optimization or new service/technology introduction.
To deliver written guidelines for a proper network design by regional Network Planning and Implementation teams.
To analyse financial aspects of the network and propose solutions to optimize OPEX/CAPEX.
To provide expert support to Network Operation teams to troubleshoot and solve complex routing issues.
To support Pre-Sales groups for non-standard solutions (technical recommendations, infrastructure cost assessment and associated network evolutions).
about you
Good grounding in project management (services/infrastructure experience are a bonus).
Strong organization, coordination, communication, presentation & reporting skills.
Clear customer orientation with strong interpersonal & negotiation skills.
Good business and commercial acumen.
Fluent in English language (written and spoken), French language is a plus (not mandatory).
Excellent knowledge of IP/MPLS carrier-class routers architecture, IP routing and MPLS switching.
Good knowledge of Internet and MPLS VPN (L2, L3) services.
Good understanding of SDN and NFV (virtualization) concepts.
Scripting/coding (Python, R, API calls, etc.) know-how for computation with distributed and/or large data sets.
Telecommunication degree or master's degree in engineering, computer science desirable.
Experience and high levels of comfort interfacing at executive level. The candidate must have a good technical understanding and at least 8 years experience in IP/MPLS networking, preferably with IGN and/or OTI-IMN.
